What we collect
The public website can collect basic usage information through Google Analytics after a visitor chooses to accept analytics cookies. Newsletter signups are handled through Mailchimp using the IoTBelfast website signup segment. Contact and sponsorship enquiries are validated by Cloudflare Pages and forwarded to the organising team's private workflow.
Analytics cookies
Google Analytics is optional. It remains disabled until a visitor actively accepts analytics cookies. Visitors can reject analytics and continue using the site normally.
Newsletter
Email addresses and first names submitted through the IoTBelfast newsletter form are added to the IoTBelfast mailing list in Mailchimp using the tag “IoTBelfast Newsletter website signup”. Newsletter emails may include event dates, speaker announcements and follow-up from recent meetups. The list is administered using Galvia Digital's Mailchimp account on behalf of IoTBelfast. Subscribers can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter.
Forms and external services
Contact and sponsorship forms use Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare Turnstile for validation and abuse prevention, then forward the information you submit to the organising team's private workflow. Speaker, host and topic forms link to an external form service. Meetup remains the registration service for events. Those services have their own privacy policies when you leave this website.
